Kelly Batsiokis – Acting Manager

Kelly joined HOI in 2015 after over 10 years’ experience in the allied health industry in a training and education capacity in human biosciences and health promotion for both the private and public sectors. Kelly has experience in in-depth interviewing, including motivational interviewing techniques which she developed in a previous role working for (former) Quit SA, targeting clients of a low socioeconomic status around sensitive topics such as addiction. Kelly has also trained service providers and community members in behaviour change and health promotion awareness to promote smoking cessation. Through her consulting experience at HOI, Kelly has experience working with vulnerable cohorts such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups, consumers from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, people experiencing homelessness, consumers with disabilities, Veterans, and consumers with mental health issues or issues with alcohol and other drugs. 

Her key competencies include: program review and evaluation; survey planning, design and testing (including online surveys); stakeholder, consumer and community engagement; management; facilitation; tool development (including resource development, workshops); literature reviews; policy and document analysis; ethics applications and qualitative data analysis.
