Emily Bowman – Consultant

Emily joined HOI in 2020 as a Consultant, following three years of training and experience as a counsellor in both Australia and Cambodia. She has clinical experience delivering client-centric, trauma-informed therapeutic interventions, including proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques. Emily has worked closely with diverse client populations, including culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, children and adolescents, and clients with disabilities and diverse learning needs. Emily lived in South-East Asia for eight years, developing excellent cross-cultural communication skills and cultural awareness. Since joining HOI, Emily has provided consulting and administrative support to HOI’s core consulting team on projects for a range of government and private sector stakeholders.

Her key competencies include: stakeholder engagement and partnerships; motivational interviewing; facilitation; program review and evaluation; literature scans; qualitative and quantitative data analysis; project documentation, data and database management.

  • Bachelor of Psychological Science (Psychology & International Development), University of Adelaide
